Customer Service Coordinator – Trucking / Drayage

Job Description
We are looking for a Customer Service Coordinator to join our growing trucking drayage company. This position is ideal for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced logistics environment.
The person in this role will communicate with customers, coordinate trucking moves, monitor port and terminal systems, and help keep shipments moving on time. Experience in drayage, trucking, dispatch, or logistics is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Answer customer emails in a professional and timely manner
- Schedule trucking moves in the dispatch board
- Verify container availability before scheduling pickups
- Confirm export receiving dates and delivery windows
- Monitor port, terminal, and steamship line systems for updates, holds, and availability
- Communicate with dispatch, drivers, and customers regarding shipment status
- Provide shipment updates, resolve issues, and follow up on delays or changes
- Review shipping details for accuracy, including container numbers, appointment information, and instructions
- Maintain organized records of customer communication and shipment activity
Qualifications
- Previous experience in customer service, trucking, drayage, logistics, or dispatch preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and manage time-sensitive shipments
- Strong attention to detail
- Comfortable using email, spreadsheets, and web-based systems
- Ability to work well under pressure and solve problems quickly
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of port and terminal operations
- Familiarity with container availability, export receiving, and dispatch workflows
- Experience working in a transportation or logistics environment
