Position Overview

Confidencial (Apenas para Cadastrados) is seeking a skilled and proactive IT Administrator to support and maintain the institution’s technology environment. This role is responsible for ensuring reliable system performance, providing technical support, and enabling effective use of technology across academic and administrative functions.

The ideal candidate has a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to support a diverse user base within a dynamic, remote environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide technical support, training, and guidance to faculty, staff, and students on the use of technology
• Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software, including operating systems, applications, and network devices
• Troubleshoot technical issues and provide timely resolution to end users
• Collaborate with Academic Affairs, Student Services, and other departments to support effective technology use
• Assist with the management and maintenance of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and databases
• Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in IT administration
• Support the development and implementation of technology policies and procedures
• Assist with procurement of hardware and software solutions
• Participate in IT-related projects and manage multiple initiatives as needed
• Attend relevant training sessions, conferences, and professional development opportunities
• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
• Several years of experience in IT administration, preferably within a higher education environment
• Strong understanding of networking, systems administration, database management, and information security
• Proven ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently
• Experience managing multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting remote or distributed organizations
• Familiarity with cloud-based systems, virtual environments, and learning management systems (LMS)
• Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and best practices
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Cisco, Microsoft, AWS)
• Proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus
