Overview: Algoseek is hiring an IT Systems & Jr DevOps Engineer to own day-to-day IT operations while leveling us up on your DevOps and security. You’ll be the hands-on backbone for Algoseek’s internal software systems including SaaS products, drive integrations (e.g., Zendesk → HubSpot), Microsoft 365, harden our security posture, and automate wherever possible. This role is the operational backup/partner to our tech leadership, with a growth path into DevOps and security engineering.

Responsibilities:
IT Operations & Enablement
- Administer Microsoft 365 / Entra ID (Azure AD): identity & access, groups, conditional access, MFA, SSO, device compliance.
- Own user lifecycle (joiners/movers/leavers), license hygiene, and least-privilege access.
- Operate and optimize our SaaS stack (HubSpot, Zoom, Zendesk → HubSpot migration, Google Workspace legacy touchpoints, etc.).
- Build clear runbooks, FAQs, and self-service how-tos to reduce ticket volume.
DevOps & Automation (Junior Track)
- Write scripts (PowerShell/Bash/Python) to automate repetitive tasks (provisioning, backups, audits, reporting).
- Assist with CI/CD pipelines, artifact management, and environment hygiene (GitHub/GitLab or similar).
- Contribute to Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform/Ansible—nice to have) and configuration drift reduction.
- Implement monitoring/alerting for critical services;
Security & Compliance
- Enforce Zero-Trust basics: MFA everywhere, device compliance, conditional access, role-based access control.
- Coordinate backup/restore testing and disaster recovery playbooks.
Qualifications
- 4+ years in IT Systems Administration
- Scripting proficiency in PowerShell or Bash or Python for automation and reporting.
- Practical experience with SSO/MFA, identity lifecycle, and conditional access.
- Strong troubleshooting across networks, endpoints, SaaS, and user environments.
- Excellent English communication; clear ticket notes, crisp runbooks, proactive stakeholder updates.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to DevOps concepts: CI/CD, Git, secrets management, containers, IaC (Terraform/Ansible).Experience with HubSpot administration and SaaS migrations (Zendesk → HubSpot a plus).
What Success Looks Like
- Day 30: You’ve mapped our M365/Entra landscape, stabilized joiner/leaver flows, and closed top hygiene gaps (MFA coverage, stale accounts).
- Day 60: Automated 2–3 recurring tasks (e.g., user provisioning report, license audits, device compliance checks). Drafted DR/backup test plan.

- Expand into DevOps (pipelines, IaC, observability) and Security Engineering (controls, detection, response).
