The Payment Conversion Specialist role is responsible for drive conversion from paper check payments to virtual card and ACH payments through outbound sales calls, benefit-driven conversations, hands-on setup support, and persistent follow-up.
The ideal candidate is someone who is comfortable with high-volume outbound calling and objection-handling capabilities.
What your day-to-day will look like:
- Execute high-volume outbound phone outreach to vendors with recent invoice submissions;
- Educate vendors on the benefits of V-Card and ACH payments;
- Overcome objections and convert vendors from paper checks to digital payments;
- Conduct multiple follow-up attempts (2–3+) to drive connection and enrollment;
- Guide vendors through payment setup, enrollment, and activation;
- Respond to inbound calls and emails from vendors returning outreach;
- Ensure successful payment execution post-enrollment;
- Track outreach activity, follow-ups, and conversion outcomes;
- Independently manage daily call lists, priorities, and follow-up schedules;
- Coordinate with internal teams to resolve vendor payment issues or questions.
What we expect from you:
- Strong verbal communication skills;
- Proficiency in English;
- Comfort with high-volume outbound calling;
- Sales and objection-handling capabilities;
- Strong organizational and time-management skills;
- Ability to work independently in a goal-driven environment;
- Proficiency with basic computer tools (email, spreadsheets, CRM systems);
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
You will stand out if you have:
- Experience in outbound sales, callcenter, or vendor-facing roles;
- Familiarity with ACH, virtual cards, or payment processing;
- B2B sales experience;
- CRM, call-tracking, or ticketing system experience;
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
