The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Remote Moving Sales Consultant to serve as the first point of contact for our prospective clients. In this role, you will handle warm inbound leads, conduct virtual walk-throughs, build accurate moving quotes, and guide customers through the booking process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Conversion: Respond promptly to inbound calls, emails, and web inquiries from prospective customers planning a move.
  • Consultative Selling: Conduct thorough needs analyses and inventory assessments (often using video call software) to determine the volume, weight, and specific requirements of each move.
  • Accurate Quoting: Utilize our internal moving software to build, present, and explain detailed estimates and moving plans to customers.
  • Pipeline Management: Follow up consistently with prospective clients to answer questions, overcome objections, and close the sale.
  • CRM Maintenance: Accurately log all customer interactions, quotes, and booking details in our CRM system SmartMoving
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the dispatch and operations teams to ensure a seamless handoff from the sales process to moving day.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years in inside sales, preferably within the moving, logistics, or transportation industry. Bonus points for experience using SmartMoving.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with an upbeat, empathetic, and professional phone presence.
  • Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using CRM software, VoIP phone systems, and video conferencing tools. Ability to quickly learn proprietary moving estimation software.
  • Drive & Independence: Highly self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of working independently in a remote environment without micromanagement.
  • Workspace: A quiet, dedicated home office setup with a high-speed, reliable internet connection.
