SAP Basis Administrator

We are looking for a highly skilled SAP Basis Administrator to manage and optimize the technical infrastructure of SAP systems, ensuring their stability and performance. The successful candidate will be responsible for system monitoring, configuration, troubleshooting, upgrades, and performance tuning. This role involves working collaboratively across teams to address technical issues and ensure the seamless operation of SAP environments.

Responsibilities

• Review and perform system changes, solution design, server architecture, and performance analysis, while identifying and addressing process gaps
• Ensure timely delivery of services within defined SLAs and agreed project milestones, implementing best practices and monitoring KPIs to drive continuous improvements
• Collaborate with functional, ABAP, and infrastructure teams to understand business or technical requirements and resolve issues in the system administration domain
• Partner with SAP HANA application implementation teams to maintain sustainable support and optimize system performance
• Conduct periodic SAP and industry-standard maintenance tasks, including BASIS administration for SAP HANA
• Implement, upgrade, and monitor SAP HANA Databases and HANA Database Cockpit in diverse infrastructures such as scale-up and scale-out environments
• Configure and maintain three-tier HANA System Replication for high availability
• Troubleshoot HANA memory bottlenecks, optimize performance, and manage workload distribution
• Establish and validate disaster recovery and business continuity plans for SAP HANA
• Configure SAP SSO/SAML authentication mechanisms
• Provide support for specialized environments, such as SAP Bank Analyzer and BW HANA
• Administer CTS+ configurations for HANA transport management
• Implement and maintain Solution Manager monitoring, including object metrics for App Server, HDB, and OS layers

Requirements

• 2+ years of proven experience in managing SAP systems, HANA databases, and integration interfaces
• Background in performing impact analysis on application requirements, including security, integration, performance, and quality, and mapping these to technical architecture and system configurations
• Experience in hardware, network products, system software, and security decision-making and coordination
• Skills in automation within the SAP on Cloud domain, with GCP deployment and High-Availability Disaster Recovery solutions
• Proficiency in supporting SAP systems operating on High Availability platforms, with strong troubleshooting skills related to system startup and performance
• Competency in L1 administration of Red Hat and SUSE Linux, alongside working knowledge of SUSE Linux Enterprise High Availability clusters
• Familiarity with configuration and maintenance of Solution Manager CHARM, including adding/removing systems via SLD & CUA
• Experience in BOBJ administration, including configuring new systems, synchronizing roles with BW4HANA, and managing BO CMC/BI tools
• BW4HANA administration and support expertise, including SDA, Business Objects integration, and security
• Capability to enforce robust security policies and manage access control mechanisms
• Proficiency in Eclipse/HANA Studio and HANA Cockpit for role creation, content migration, and landscape management
• Knowledge of SAP interfaces, SAP-NetWeaver-based web services, and SAP solutions
• English proficiency at a B1+ level
