Senior Data DevOps Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop cloud data infrastructure leveraging GCP services including DataFlow, GCS, and Dataproc
• Implement Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform for automated deployment and system monitoring
• Partner with data engineering teams to build efficient automated workflows in Python
• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions for continuous integration and delivery
• Improve the stability and efficiency of data platforms by working closely with stakeholders
• Set up and manage cloud-based data tools like Apache Spark, Kafka, and Apache Airflow
• Address and fix performance and scalability issues in cloud data environments

Requirements

• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with GCP cloud services such as BigQuery and Cloud Composer
• Strong Python skills combined with solid SQL knowledge to handle data pipelines
• Experience with IaC tools like Terraform or CloudFormation for infrastructure automation
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools including Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI
• Background in Linux systems and shell scripting
• Good understanding of network protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, and NAT
• Experience with data tools such as Apache Spark, Apache Airflow, or ELK Stack

Nice to have

• Knowledge of AWS or Azure cloud platforms including services like ECS, S3, or Synapse
• Ability to use other Infrastructure as Code tools such as Ansible
• Experience with other data pipeline automation tools
