Senior FP&A Analyst – Cost Control & Governance at Shape is responsible for leading financial planning, cost control, and governance processes, supporting strategic decision-making and ensuring financial accuracy, transparency, and compliance. This role acts as a key business partner to Finance, Product, Technology, HR, and Leadership teams, with the objective of optimizing corporate decision-making, strengthening financial governance, and maximizing the organization’s financial performance.
Responsibilities:
- Lead headcount planning and forecasting in partnership with managers, senior leadership, and HR.
- Support monthly Closing and Forecast processes, ensuring accuracy and timely consolidation.
- Structure, manage, and optimize the cloud cost allocation process in collaboration with product and technology teams.
- Oversee the labor capitalization process, including business case development and audit-compliant documentation.
- Ensure financial results are accurate, reliable, and promptly available to other squads.
- Act as a focal point for governance processes, ensuring compliance with internal audit requirements, shareholder standards, and approval matrices.
- Calculate sales commissions and prepare detailed financial reports to support the sales organization.
- Build and maintain unified financial and operational databases, ensuring data governance and a single source of truth.
- Design and implement improvements for finance, HR, and legal processes.
- Develop dashboards, automated reports, and executive presentations for senior leadership.
Requirements:
- Strong proficiency in advanced Excel and financial analysis.
- Solid knowledge of accounting and controllership principles.
- Experience working with ERP systems (Xero, SAP, Oracle, etc.) and corporate financial tools (Salesforce, ADP, Workday, etc.)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate in a dynamic, cross-functional environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify inconsistencies and propose solutions.
- Knowledge of data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, etc.).
- Advanced/Fluent English.
Differential:
- Previous experience in cost control and governance within SaaS or B2B environments.
- Experience with cloud cost allocation and labor capitalization processes.
- Experience automating financial processes using Excel macros, scripts, or AI tools.
