Senior Functional Consultant (Finance), SAP

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

§ Serving as a Trusted Senior Consultant to our Clients by providing functional SAP ECC ERP expertise and research, advisory and implementation services, innovative business solutions, and Strategic Planning Engagements

§ Provide outstanding client service and help them obtain maximum value from their ERP investment in alignment with the established GPS framework

§ Work with offshore teams and client IT staff and review business requirements, research solution alternatives, and create professional, high-quality deliverables

§ Provide subject matter expertise with respect to SAP ECC applications, configuration driven, scalable and manageable solutions. Provide support to other IT staff in high-priority situations and dedicated to issue resolution

§ Provide pre-sales consulting assistance with SAP ECC application questions during the sales cycle

§ Develop a macro view of current and future state of business and technology architecture that is well connected with business strategy

§ Provide leadership in developing standards, functional governance, functional design patterns and IT best practices.

§ Develop and demonstrate subject matter expertise in various functional areas of ECC, including the creation and delivery of presentations and white papers to internal and external stakeholders

§ Evaluate new technologies and identify the benefit case for using new technologies

§ Provide thought leadership to help guide development of IT systems solutions that are strategically aligned to the overall architecture vision of clients

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred

Location

This is a remote position and can be based anywhere in Japan

Desired Qualifications/Skills

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in SAP functional consulting
• Strong understanding of finance functional processes (GL, AP, AR, Cash Management, Bank Accounting, Asset Accounting, BPC, etc.) & confidence in discussing technology concepts, trade-offs, and opportunities in the field of ECC, S/4HANA, ABAP, Basis, Security, etc.
• Working knowledge of Interfaces (IDOCS, RFC, EDI, Web/Rest Services, etc.) with other SAP and non-SAP systems and middleware technologies
• Configuration knowledge in other SAP domains like SD/MM would be a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, customer facing & interpersonal effectiveness with exceptional ability to successfully influence cross functional team stakeholders without formal authority
• Demonstrated experience building solutions for complex or ambiguous areas
