Área: Outros
Nível: Senior
Overview of the role:
- Designing and executing analyses that answer "why" not just "what"
- Building statistical models that inform pricing, risk management, and customer strategy
- Translating ambiguous business problems into structured analytical frameworks
- Communicating uncertainty and trade-offs to commercial stakeholders**This role sits between commercial strategy and execution.** You won't be building ML pipelines or maintaining dashboards—you'll be solving hard problems that directly impact P&L.
What you’ll do:
- **Strategic Analysis (60% of your time):**
- Design analytical approaches for ambiguous commercial questions
- Conduct root cause analysis of business performance (why did margin drop? why are customers churning?)
- Build models to understand customer behavior, lifetime value, and segment performance
- Run statistical tests to validate hypotheses and measure impact of initiatives
- Quantify trade-offs between competing strategies (growth vs margin, acquisition vs retention)
- **Experimentation & Measurement (25%):**
- Design A/B tests and analyze results with appropriate statistical rigor
- Build frameworks to measure incrementality of marketing campaigns and promotions
- Evaluate pricing strategies and bonus structures through expected value analysis
- Apply probability concepts to betting market analysis and risk assessment
- **Communication (15%):**
- Synthesize complex analyses into clear, actionable recommendations for CCO and commercial Leaders
- Present findings that balance analytical depth with business accessibility
- Defend assumptions and methodology when challenged by stakeholders
- **What this role is NOT:**
- Building automated dashboards or reports
- Maintaining data pipelines or infrastructure
- Running ML models without understanding the math
- Creating PowerBI visualizations
What you’ll bring:
**Strong statistical foundations:** You understand inference, hypothesis testing, regression, probability distributions—and more importantly, when to apply each
**Comfort with ambiguity:** You can take "why are we losing money on this segment?" and structure it into an answerable analytical question
**SQL mastery:** Complex queries, CTEs, window functions are second nature. You think in sets, not loops
**Business judgment:** You know when a model is "good enough" vs when you need more precision
**Intellectual honesty:** You're comfortable saying "the data doesn't support that conclusion" even when stakeholders want different answers### Strongly Preferred:
- Academic background in **Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, or Engineering**
- Experience translating business problems into analytical frameworks
- Familiarity with causal inference concepts (difference-in-differences, propensity scores, etc.)
- Python/R for statistical analysis (not for ML production)
- Experience in high-velocity commercial environments (e-commerce, fintech, betting, marketplace)### Nice to Have:
- Exposure to betting/gaming metrics (GGR, margin, liability)
- Experience with experimentation platforms
What you won't be doing
Building or maintaining dashboards (we have BI for that)
Creating weekly reports (automated already)
ETL or data engineering work
Machine learning model development
Ad-hoc data pulls for stakeholders**If you love building dashboards more than solving problems, this isn't the right role.**
