Join Confidencial (Apenas para Cadastrados) as 2nd Officer on an offshore seismic/research vessel operating out of Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. This is a hands-on role for an experienced deck officer who enjoys bridge watchkeeping, navigation, and supporting safe offshore operations.
- Key responsibilities:
- Stand bridge watch and ensure safe navigation at all times
- Plan and monitor voyages, chart corrections, and publications
- Assist the Master and Chief Officer with deck operations and safety drills
- Monitor and operate navigational and DP-related equipment as required
- Support seismic/research operations in close coordination with the bridge and deck teams
- Contribute to the vessel’s safety management and permit-to-work systems
- Requirements:
- Valid STCW CoC as OICNW / 2nd Officer
- Previous offshore or seismic/research vessel experience preferred
- Valid STCW basic and advanced safety courses and medical certificate
- Good English communication skills
- Strong focus on safety, teamwork, and safe navigation
