What you will do:

• Work actively with team members to analyze and resolve application issues;
• Identify defects, discrepancies, and trends through code debugging and log analysis;
• Manage incidents and communicate effectively with users, application owners, and senior stakeholders;
• Improve application stability and performance by identifying patterns, recurring failures, and issues, and recommending permanent fixes;
• Use tools and AI-assisted solutions to automate failure detection, identify discrepancies in production health, and support health restoration;
• Identify alerts and processes that can be automated and collaborate with engineering teams to implement automation;
• Challenge existing application setups and processing approaches, suggesting alternative solutions to improve stability;
• Actively participate in the Change Management process to manage risks in production environments;
• Build and improve runbooks to minimize operational errors and increase efficiency;
• Develop reports with trending statistics to monitor application health and support service performance;
• Troubleshoot and support proprietary technologies, with training provided as needed;
• Translate complex technical production issues into clear and functional post-incident reviews (PIRs) and executive summaries, using AI tools when applicable.

What we are looking for:

• Fluent English;
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent;
• Understanding of Computer Science concepts and practical application of data structures such as HashMaps, Trees, and Arrays;
• Experience applying AI-assisted development tools, such as GitHub Copilot, to optimize algorithmic complexity and improve runtime efficiency;
• Strong problem-solving skills in development or production environments, including system pattern analysis, root-cause analysis, and remediation;
• Experience with generative AI tools and prompt engineering for incident diagnostics, stack trace analysis, and resolution strategies;
• Solid Unix troubleshooting skills;
• Understanding of ETL/batch processes and capacity management;
• Experience using AI tools and GitHub Copilot to write, debug, and optimize log-parsing utilities, automate batch monitoring, and analyze system capacity metrics;
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical and functional aspects of development and production issues;
• Ability to translate complex technical production issues into clear and functional post-incident reviews (PIRs) for senior stakeholders;
• Proficiency in at least one Structured or Object-Oriented programming language, such as Java, C, C++, VB, Angular, or ReactJS;
• Hands-on experience with GitHub Copilot and AI-assisted coding tools for development, unit testing, and debugging;
• Proficiency in at least one scripting language, such as Shell Script, Perl, JavaScript, or Python;
• Experience leveraging AI tools and prompt engineering to create automation scripts with logging and exception handling;
• Experience working with at least one RDBMS or NoSQL environment, such as Sybase ASE/IQ, Oracle, DB2, MongoDB, or PostgreSQL;
• Knowledge of SQL query optimization, execution plans, and database troubleshooting;
• Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud services such as EC2, S3, CloudWatch, IAM, and Lambda for deploying, monitoring, and troubleshooting applications;
• Experience using AWS-native AI assistants, such as Amazon Q, for infrastructure diagnostics and cloud resource optimization.

Nice to have:

• Experience in the Financial Services industry;
• Experience with Cluster Computing and Big Data solutions, such as Spark, Hadoop, HDFS, and XRS using public cloud;
• Degree in Computer Science.
