Business Analyst – AxiomSL (Regulatory Reporting)

Overview

We are looking for a Business Analyst with strong expertise in AxiomSL to support financial and regulatory reporting initiatives. This professional will act as a bridge between business and technology teams, translating complex regulatory requirements into scalable Axiom ControllerView V10 solutions.

The role requires hands-on experience with AxiomSL, exposure to OFSAA, and solid knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as CCAR, FR Y-14, and Basel III. The candidate will work across Finance, Risk, and IT domains, ensuring compliance and alignment with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements Gathering and Analysis

  • Partner with business and IT stakeholders to gather and interpret requirements for Axiom-based solutions
  • Translate regulatory and financial reporting needs into functional and non functional specifications
  • Produce BRDs and FRDs aligned with Axiom implementations
  • Support regulatory reporting including CCAR, FR Y-14, FR Y-9C and Liquidity Risk (FR 2052a)
  • Configure and manage AxiomSL Haircut Module for capital and collateral calculations

Data Analysis and Validation

  • Perform data sourcing and validation from OFSAA and upstream systems
  • Execute data mapping between source systems and Axiom data models
  • Conduct gap analysis and data lineage assessments
  • Support QA by validating transformations and report outputs

Testing and Documentation

  • Support SIT and UAT phases including test case creation and defect tracking
  • Document business processes and reporting logic within Axiom
  • Provide mockups and prototypes using Axiom tools
  • Support audit and regulatory review processes

Leadership and Collaboration

  • Act as SME for Axiom initiatives and guide junior team members
  • Participate in project planning, estimation, and delivery tracking
  • Collaborate with Finance, Risk, and Technology stakeholders

  • SQL for data analysis and reconciliation
  • Excel for advanced data manipulation

Required Qualifications

  • Strong hands on experience with AxiomSL ControllerView
  • Solid knowledge of regulatory reporting frameworks such as CCAR, FR Y-14 and Basel III
  • Experience with Federal Reserve reports including FR Y-9C and FR 2052a
  • Proven experience in business requirements gathering for Axiom implementations
  • Intermediate SQL skills for data validation and reconciliation
  • Experience with data mapping and ETL processes
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Experience working in cross functional teams
  • Knowledge of SDLC methodologies
  • Advanced English

  • Experience with OFSAA or similar platforms
  • Exposure to FINRA, SEC or FDIC reporting
