Confidencial (Apenas para Cadastrados) believes that childhood is not a preparation for life. It is life itself.

We are building, from the ground up, a school and a pedagogical team with a clear purpose: to offer children, from Toddlers through 2nd Grade, an educational experience that respects their time, their curiosity, and their capacity to construct knowledge through relationships, inquiry, and meaningful experiences.

We are looking for a Body & Movement Teacher to create experiences that recognize the body and movement as essential dimensions of child development. In Early Childhood, the body is one of the primary ways children understand themselves, explore their environment, build relationships, and construct knowledge.

The professional will design and facilitate experiences that foster motor coordination, balance, body awareness, strength, mobility, spatial awareness, and self-expression through movement, while respecting each child's developmental stage and individual pace.

We are looking for someone who understands physical activity as more than sports or performance, recognizing movement as a language and as an essential part of children's motor, cognitive, social, and emotional development.

Responsabilidades e atribuições

  • Plan and facilitate age-appropriate Body & Movement experiences that respond to students' development, interests, and individual needs.
  • Foster the development of gross and fine motor skills, balance, laterality, spatial awareness, body awareness, strength, mobility, and agility through meaningful experiences.
  • Create experiences that encourage children to explore different possibilities of movement, locomotion, rhythm, speed, balance, and physical expression.
  • Promote experiences that develop independence, confidence, awareness of personal boundaries, and body awareness.
  • Use movement as a tool to support children's cognitive, social, emotional, and motor development.
  • Create environments and opportunities that invite physical exploration, problem-solving, cooperation, and interaction among students.
  • Develop experiences that value play, curiosity, experimentation, and discovery through the body and movement.
  • Adapt activities and challenges to different developmental stages, ensuring that all children can participate meaningfully.
  • Body & Movement into the experiences and inquiries developed by each class.
  • Contribute to a school culture that recognizes the body, movement, and physical activity as essential elements of children's holistic development.
  • Foster English language development throughout the school day and support learners to build their confidence to communicate and participate

Requisitos e qualificações

  • A Bachelor's degree in Physical Education is required.
  • Demonstrated experience working with children, particularly in Early Childhood Education, will be valued.
  • Strong knowledge of motor development and child development.
  • Experience designing child-centered movement experiences that are appropriate for different developmental stages will be considered an advantage.
  • The ability to create experiences that are challenging, safe, inclusive, and enjoyable.
  • A strong understanding of movement as a tool for holistic development, rather than solely as sports or physical activity.
  • Excellent communication, observation, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with teachers and the pedagogical team.
  • A creative, energetic, sensitive, and attentive professional who can engage children and build positive relationships through movement.
  • Fluent English is required.
  • International professional or academic experience will be considered an advantage.

Most schools were designed for a world that no longer exists. Akron was designed for the one that's coming.

We are a brand new school, in Pinheiros, São Paulo, built from the ground up around a single conviction: that the most valuable thing a school can give a student isn't knowledge. It's the ability to keep learning, unlearning, and relearning for the rest of their lives. We are not reforming a system. We are starting with a blank page.

Our curriculum is anchored in interdisciplinary learning and developmental neuroscience. Our language of instruction is English. Our students are 2 to 18 years old. Our campus is 11,000 m² currently under construction. And our team is being assembled now, person by person, with intention.

Everything we build here comes back to our compass:

- Know Yourself Deeply, because no one can lead their own learning without first understanding how they think, feel, and grow.

- Engage the World Fully, because learning earns its meaning through real problems, authentic inquiry, and genuine encounter with different cultures and people.

- Transform Both, because we measure success not by what students know, but by what they do with it: knowledge placed in service of something beyond themselves.

We are looking for educators who are restless in the best sense of the word. People who have seen how school can be done differently and chose not to look away. People who know that character, curiosity, and purpose are not soft skills.

If you've ever thought "I wish I could build a school the right way, from the very beginning"this is that moment.

Our compass: Know yourself deeply. Engage the world fully. Transform both.

What guides us:

Curiosity: every great learning journey begins with a better question

Excellence: rigorous, generous, and never finished

Humanity: relationships built on respect, empathy, and genuine care

Courage: to try, to fail, and to try again with more clarity

Grit: staying the course when the work is hard and the outcome matters

Purpose: knowledge in service of people, not the other way around

Akron is a rare opportunity: to be present at the beginning, to help shape what this school becomes, and to do the most meaningful work of your career.

We'd love to meet you.
