Responsabilidades e atribuições

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Project Development Coordinator to support the development and execution of renewable and energy infrastructure projects in Brazil. The professional will play a key role in coordinating internal departments, managing project schedules and budgets, and interfacing with external stakeholders, including government authorities, consultants, partners, and utilities.

The ideal candidate should have solid knowledge of the Brazilian energy sector and development process for renewable energy projects, with additional understanding of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), hydropower, and thermal power generation projects.


Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the development process of renewable energy and infrastructure projects in Brazil, including permitting, environmental licensing, land, grid connection, and regulatory matters.
  • Support the development and execution of solar, wind, BESS, hydropower, and gas-fired power projects.
  • Manage communication and alignment among internal departments such as engineering, legal, finance, EPC, commercial, procurement, and O&M teams.
  • Monitor project schedules, milestones, deliverables, and development budgets to ensure projects progress according to plan.
  • Prepare project reports, presentations, risk assessments, and management updates.
  • Coordinate and follow up with external stakeholders, including:
  • Government agencies
  • Grid operators and utilities
  • Engineering consultants
  • Local partners and service providers
  • Support strategic discussions related to project feasibility, market opportunities, and regulatory developments.
  • Identify project risks and propose mitigation measures.
  • Ensure compliance with Brazilian regulatory and permitting requirements.

Requisitos e qualificações

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Energy, Environmental Sciences, Business Administration, or related fields.
  • Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in project development, infrastructure, or energy sector coordination roles.
  • Strong familiarity with the Brazilian renewable energy development process, including:
  • Environmental licensing
  • Grid access procedures
  • Land and permitting processes
  • Regulatory framework
  • Good understanding of:
  • Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
  • Hydropower projects
  • Gas-fired thermal power projects
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in English and Portuguese is required; Mandarin Chinese is considered a plus.
