Responsibilities
- Act as the Technical Responsible for the chemical plant.
- Plan, evaluate results, and sign reports regarding chemical assays.
- Meet the needs of internal and external customers in the Engineering and Quality areas.
- Develop activities according to Quality and Engineering Indicators (COPQ, FPY, CE, SPPM, Product Audit, and 8D Status).
- Coordinate changes using Engineering and Quality tools.
- Develop suppliers for Engineering and Quality, applying PPAP and APQP tools. Lead cost reduction projects and Value Engineering initiatives ("Value Engineering"/"Schedule B").
- Ensure the maintenance of Product Certifications (INMETRO) and the Quality System (ISO 9001). Analyze Occurrence, Detection, and Severity items using DFMEA.
- Continually update and improve Product Specifications (control plans, data sheets, technical manuals, and drawings).
- Manage processes, procedures, work instructions, and standard work for Engineering and Quality. Conduct Quality and Process audits.
- Develop new products, from project planning and feasibility phases to launch. Ensure Product Traceability.
- Solve issues related to Non-conforming Products.
- Manage the Monitoring of Measuring Instruments and Equipment, ensuring calibration. Utilize Carrier Excellence in activities.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering.
- Specialization: Desirable post-graduate/specialization in Chemistry, Quality, or Industrial Engineering.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in Chemical Engineering, preferably working with surfactants and similar products, focusing on product and process development within the chemical industry.
- Methodology: Proven experience in Continuous Improvement (Lean Six Sigma).
- Project Management: Prior experience in Project Management is highly desirable.
- Advanced English
