The team you will be a part of
The Information Systems team is responsible for implementation of the enterprise architecture and the development and maintenance of the organization's computing/IT environment. Determines and develops architectural approaches and solutions, conducts business reviews, documents current systems and develops recommendations of how to proceed with the applications.
This role in summary
In this role, you will lead the Data Analytics organization for LAR (Latin America Region) Brazil, responsible for shaping the data landscape and driving a data-driven culture across the region. You will be responsible for four key pillars: Analytics Solutions, Data Quality, Data Visualization and BI as a Service.
You will enable secure, scalable, and cloud-driven data platforms that support business strategy, accelerate digital transformation, and drive modernization across enterprise systems, primarily leveraging Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will lead a multidisciplinary team of data engineers and analysts to define standards, deliver robust data pipelines, and implement self-service BI capabilities that empower business units with actionable insights. This position requires strategic leadership, deep technical expertise in data architectures, and the ability to influence technology direction at multiple levels
Your responsibilities will include
Leadership & Strategy
- Lead and develop a high-performing Data Analytics team, promoting collaboration, technical excellence, and continuous learning.
- Define and evolve the regional Data & Analytics strategy, ensuring alignment with LAR North business outcomes and global IT roadmaps.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, influencing priorities, investments, and data-driven decision-making.
- Understand business priorities and success measures to design and implement appropriate analytical solutions.
Analytics Solutions & Data Engineering
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines in GCP to support data ingestion and transformation from various sources (SAP ECC, S/4HANA, Salesforce, etc.).
- Create robust and automated pipelines utilizing batch and streaming mechanisms (Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Spark) leveraging cloud-native toolsets.
- Optimize data workflows for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency (TCO).
- Provide thought leadership on how to leverage GCP cloud services to enable new and evolving business models.
- Lead the migration of on-premise legacy environments to GCP
Data Quality, Governance & BI as a Service
- Ensure data quality and integrity through automated validation, monitoring, and governance frameworks.
- Implement best practices for data security, compliance, and privacy (GDPR/Local laws).
- Scale BI as a Service capabilities to enable developer and business self-service environments using tools like Tableau and Looker.
- Mature monitoring and SRE practices for data platforms to improve reliability and operational efficiency.
Minimum requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related STEM field.
- 5+ years of experience in Leadership, Data Analytics or Analytics Engineering roles.
- Proven experience leading and developing high-performing technical teams, fostering collaboration and continuous learning.
- Hands-on GCP Experience: Advanced proficiency in Google Cloud Platform, specifically BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, and Pub/Sub.
- Data Engineering: Solid track record designing and maintaining scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for both batch and streaming workloads.
- Experience leading the migration of on-premise legacy environments to modern cloud-driven platforms (GCP).
- Governance & Quality: Deep understanding of data quality frameworks, security controls, and compliance (e.g., GDPR/local laws).
- BI & Self-Service: Experience scaling "BI as a Service" and self-service platforms like Tableau or Looker.
- Executive Presence: Ability to act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, influencing data-driven investments and priorities.
- Advanced Storytelling: Exceptional ability to translate future-state business capabilities into technical solution requirements for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proficiency in optimizing data workflows for performance, scalability, and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
- English Advanced level is mandatory for global and regional collaboration
Preferred skills and experiences
- Experience in CPG/Retail or eCommerce industries.
- Experience leading Data Rationalization and modernization initiatives.
- Experience in multi-country or global matrix environments (specifically LAR/LATAM).
- Effective interpersonal skills to work analytically to solve business problems and propose solutions.
- Spanish language skills are a plus.
