Join Confidencial (Apenas para Cadastrados)'s central Data & Analytics team (DNA) as a Data Scientist and bring your analytical skills and business insight to our dynamic team. This role is perfect for someone who seeks to blend their understanding of business intelligence with the predictive power of data science to unlock new opportunities for Confidencial (Apenas para Cadastrados).

YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:
Partner with Product Manager, Product Owner and business stakeholders to identify high-impact opportunities and translate business questions into well-defined analytical problems and ML use cases

Translate complex analytical findings into clear, actionable recommendations for non-technical stakeholders through compelling data storytelling

Design and develop machine learning models and statistical analyses that directly address business needs, with clear success metrics tied to outcomes and ensure model validity, fairness, and interpretability

Design and execute rigorous A/B tests, experiments, and causal inference studies to validate model performance and measure business impact

Stay current with rapid developments in ML/AI, especially foundation models, LLMs, and agentic systems, evaluate their applicability to business problems, and champion adoption where appropriate

YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:
Education & Experience

MSc (preferred) or BSc in Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, or equivalent quantitative field

5+ years of hands-on experience applying data science and machine learning to solve real business problems

Demonstrated track record of projects where your work drove measurable business outcomes
Technical Skills

Strong Python proficiency for data analysis, modeling and deep learning frameworks (PyTorch or TensorFlow)

Practical experience with LLM APIs and tools (OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, or similar) for prototyping and implementing AI-powered solutions

Solid SQL skills and experience querying data warehouses (Snowflake experience is a plus)

Familiarity with at least one end-to-end ML platform (Dataiku, Databricks, Vertex AI, SageMaker) for experimentation and model development

Understanding of ML fundamentals: model evaluation, cross-validation, hyperparameter tuning, bias-variance tradeoff, MLOps
Language Requirements

Fluent in English (spoken/written), team communication is primarily in English

French is a huge plus

STAND OUT WITH...

Experience building production applications or proof-of-concepts using LLMs, including prompt engineering, RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), or fine-tuning approaches

Familiarity with emerging AI agent frameworks and orchestration tools

Experience with model explainability techniques (SHAP, LIME) and fairness/bias assessment in production contexts

Familiarity with the handoff process to production: understanding of model monitoring needs, drift detection, and retraining triggers

Background in a specific domain relevant to our business and Machine Learning expertise

Contributions to open-source projects or publications demonstrating thought leadership

Experience mentoring junior data scientists or leading analytical initiatives
