The role demands initiative and the ability to collaborate with internal senior engineers. Key Responsibilities
- Investigate and resolve performance degradation in the Delphi 6 application.
- Analyze behavior inconsistencies across Windows 10 and 11 platforms.
- Work with internal teams to understand undocumented portions of the system.
- Assess architectural aspects of the solution and suggest areas for technical improvement.
- Maintain clear communication and deliver updates during established progress checkpoints.
- Provide guidance and best practices for stabilizing the legacy environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Delphi, particularly Delphi 6.
- Deep understanding of client-server systems and fat client application performance.
- Experience with Dev Express and WindForms components.
- Ability to operate in environments with little to no documentation.
- Strong analytical and debugging skills in complex systems.
- Proactive mindset with the ability to drive work independently.
- Professional proficiency in English, capable of working with international teams.
Nice to Have
- Background in pharmacy management or healthcare-related systems.
- Experience modernizing Delphi systems or participating in replatforming projects.
- Familiarity with .NET and PostgreSQL (relevant to potential future platform work).
