o Design and develop test fixtures and custom test modules
o Create mechanical design concepts and detailed mechanical drawings for outside vendors to fabricate the test fixtures
o Knowledge of machining process tolerances to provide designs that are in proper tolerance and in-line with tooling and fabrication supplier capabilities
o Perform initial setup and adjustment of test fixture prototypes and instruct engineers and technicians to set up replicates and maintain functionality
o Document mechanical designs in a well-organized and detailed drawing package
- Mechanical manufacturers analysis and procurement support (Brazil)
- Mechanical components suppliers interaction (nuts/bolts/etc, Brazil)
- Mechanical manufacturer ecosystems (Brazil)
- Development of high volume Mechanics in Industry
- EMI/EMC simulation (Hyperlynx, HFSS, Ansoft, CST and / or AWR)
- Develop thermal dissipation experimentation and simulation (Menthor FloTherm, Ansys CFD, Simscale, COMSOL, Heatsink Calculator)
- Develop fiber routing for mechanical enclosures
- Experience optical module mechanical standards (SFP, CFP2, QSFP, QSFP28, QSFP-DD, OSFP)
- Hands-on experience with machining operations including milling, drilling, and lathing
- Electronics hardware activation, tests and debugging experience (electrical)
- Bachelor/Master/PhD in mechanical or electrical engineering
