The Global Director of Facilities Management is responsible for setting the strategic vision, operational oversight, and continuous improvement of all facilities management functions across the organization's International footprint. Reporting to the Senior Director, Real Estate, Facilities & Physical Security, this leader ensures that all company properties—corporate offices, production/manufacturing sites, and support facilities—operate efficiently, safely, sustainably, and in line with organizational goals.
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a global facilities management strategy that aligns with the organization's vision and business objectives. Lead a diverse, geographically dispersed team to ensure consistent standards and best practices worldwide.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee the daily operations of all facilities, ensuring optimal performance, cost-effectiveness, and a high standard of service delivery. Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for facilities operations.
- Budget and Resource Management: Assist with managing the global facilities budget.
- Negotiate and manage vendor contracts, procurement processes, and service agreements to maximize value and efficiency.
- Ensure all facilities adhere to applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations in each country of operation. Lead risk management initiatives and emergency preparedness planning.
- Project Management: Direct large-scale facilities-related projects such as new site openings, renovations, relocations, and capital improvements. Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for senior leadership regarding facilities matters. Foster strong relationships with internal customers, external vendors, landlords, and regulatory authorities.
- Team Development: Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing global facilities team. Promote a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Sustainability Initiatives: Champion global sustainability and energy efficiency programs, including green building certifications, waste reduction, and carbon footprint minimization.
- Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 15+ years of progressive experience in facilities management, with at least 5 years at a senior or global leadership level.
- Proven track record managing multi-site, international portfolios across various regions and cultures.
- Strong knowledge of global health, safety, and environmental sustainability regulations and best practices. Experience with sustainability and green building programs is highly desirable.
- Exceptional financial acumen, including budget management and contract negotiation skills.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to travel internationally as required.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken); Additional languages desired
