Job Summary: The Hazcom Analyst will help to establish, maintain, audit and improve processes, procedures and communications to ensure compliance with global Hazard Communication programs. Primary responsibilities include managing Safety Data Sheets (SDS) requests and updates, responding to customer SDS requests and providing technical support and training to internal and external stakeholders on hazard communication regulations and best practices. The candidate will work directly with our vendor 3E, the Global Hazcom Manager and global team members and stakeholders. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and possesses excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Process SDS requests and updates, including during the bi-annual update process, working with our external SDS provider.
- Maintain 3E Protect SDS repository system
- Triage SDS inbox and respond to customer requests.
- Work with 3E Protect related to training and enhancements.
- Deliver training globally to the Product Sustainability Network, Business Customer Service Representatives, and sites.
- Distribute semiannually the contract manufacturing SDS.
- Implement continuous improvement process in existing processes
- Support Global Label Management System process, improvements and tests
- Create and update different reports in SAP to support customers requests and compliance
The following is required for this role:
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry, environmental science, occupational health, or related field
- At least 3 years of experience in hazard communication, SDS authoring, or regulatory affairs
- Experience with SAP Environment, Health and Safety regulatory compliance system
- Fluent in English and Spanish desired
- Knowledge of GHS and other hazard communication regulations and standards
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
