Java Spring Boot Developer (API & Integration)

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Java Spring Boot Developer to play a key role in building and integrating backend services for a new application platform. This position will focus on designing and developing robust APIs that connect a modern front-end interface with existing backend systems.

You will be responsible for implementing core backend functionalities including API development, request validation, orchestration, routing, and security, acting as the central integration layer between the UI and enterprise systems.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on expert who can work independently and contribute to architectural decisions in a greenfield environment.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using Spring Boot
Build the backend integration layer between Angular-based UI and existing Java services
Implement request validation, orchestration, routing, and API security
Develop and maintain audit logging and monitoring capabilities
Integrate backend services with Oracle databases
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including UI and backend engineering teams
Ensure performance, scalability, and reliability of backend services
Provide technical guidance and design recommendations to improve system architecture
Work independently and take ownership of deliverables

Required Qualifications

7+ years of experience in backend development
Strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot framework
Proven experience building and scaling enterprise-grade APIs
Solid understanding of microservices architecture and system integration
Experience with API design, validation, and security best practices
Strong experience integrating with relational databases (preferably Oracle)
Ability to work independently and drive technical solutions end-to-end
Proactive mindset with the ability to suggest improvements and optimizations
Self-driven and comfortable working with minimal supervision
Advanced English

Nice to Have

Experience with Angular or frontend-backend integration
Background in financial services or billing/revenue systems
Experience working in greenfield or first-time build environments
