We are looking for a Junior Accountant, based in Malta, to perform a variety of accounting, bookkeeping and financial tasks. The main responsibilities include keeping financial records updated and supporting with the day-to-day administration of the Finance function. This role reports to the Senior Accounting Manager.
Responsibilities
- Perform general accounting duties.
- Reconcile various elements of Financial Statements.
- Take ownership for the processing of Accounts Payables, including postings, reconciliations, communication with suppliers.
- Support in Accounts Receivables as required.
- Support in Accounting for Cash & Cash equivalents.
- Assistance in Month-end Closing, including Accruals & Prepayments.
- Assistance in Audit Procedures.
- Assistance to rest of Finance team as required.
- Other Ad-hoc duties as required.
Requirements
- Sound knowledge of English language is necessary.
- Minimum of 1 or 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Holds a relevant qualification in accounting or finance.
- Competency in MS Office, especially MS Excel and accounting software.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Aptitude for numbers.
- Well organized, flexible and a team worker.
- Willingness to learn on the job and manage their own processes
