Confidencial (Apenas para Cadastrados) is hiring a Senior Software Engineer in Brazil to design, develop, and integrate embedded Linux and telematics software across product platforms. This role focuses on hands-on engineering work, ensuring modular, scalable solutions that align with Confidencial (Apenas para Cadastrados)’s global electronics strategy. You will also act as the local contact point for the Technology team.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and integrate embedded Linux and telematics software into vehicle platforms.
  • Write, review, and validate code to meet functional and safety requirements.
  • Ensure modular, reusable, and maintainable software implementations.
  • Collaborate with IT, electrical, mechanical, and test engineers for seamless integration.
  • Define validation strategies, create test plans, and support field validation.
  • Apply systems engineering principles (requirements, risk analysis, FMEA).
  • Maintain internal software libraries and reusable components.
  • Use and support development tools such as Git, CodeBeamer, and Qt.
  • Document designs, processes, and test results for traceability and compliance.
  • Support continuous improvement in CI/CD and coding standards.
  • Ensure safe practices during testing and commissioning.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering.
  • 8+ years of experience in embedded software, HMI systems, and cloud-connected devices.
  • Strong knowledge of C++, Qt, Python, Linux, IoT frameworks, and cloud platforms (Azure, REST APIs, MQTT).
  • Experience with Git, Docker, CodeBeamer, and PLM/PDM systems.
  • Fluent in English.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Android/iOS platforms.
  • Familiarity with ThingWorx and advanced IoT solutions.
  • Certifications in Lean, Six Sigma, or ISO standards.
