The role requires a strong background in engineering, operation, and maintenance of renewable energy systems, including Wind, Hydropower, Solar PV, and other related technologies.

What challenges will you face?

  • Provide high-level technical support to O&M teams, balancing technical, financial, and safety aspects to ensure optimal plant performance.

  • Lead and conduct root cause analyses (RCA) for critical failures and define mitigation plans, including engagement with OEMs and service providers to address warranty and liability issues.

  • Develop, revise, and implement standardized maintenance procedures and technical documentation.

  • Improve and adapt preventive and predictive maintenance plans to enhance reliability and availability of generation assets.

  • Identify and propose engineering solutions to mitigate occupational safety risks and improve operational performance (availability, energy yield, efficiency).

  • Perform troubleshooting of complex failures requiring advanced technical knowledge and engineering expertise.

  • Ensure best practices in asset care aligned with operational excellence and equipment life-cycle management.

  • Interface with digital systems to support condition monitoring, asset diagnostics, and predictive maintenance initiatives.

  • Collaborate to implement analytical models for failure detection and reliability growth.

  • Support the knowledge transfer and technical training for field teams and contractors

What specific knowledge do you need?

  • At least 5 years in asset maintenance or reliability engineering, preferably in renewable energy (solar, wind, hydro, or hybrid systems).

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics or related Engineering

  • Desirable Postgraduate studies in Reliability, Asset Management or Power Systems.

  • CMMS systems (e.g. SAP PM, IBM Maximo, Infor EAM)

  • Root Cause Analysis methodologies (RCA, 5 Whys, FMEA)

  • Knowledge of standards (IEC, IEEE, ISO 55000)

  • Solid understanding of maintenance engineering principles applied to Wind, Solar PV, Hydropower, and other renewable energy technologies

What does Atlas offer you?

  • Belong to a multicultural, inclusive, and diverse environment. We are in the USA, Mexico, Brazil, Chile, Uruguay, Colombia, and Spain.

  • Be part of a company that promotes flexibility: work by objectives and have a hybrid/flexible work style (home-office or in the office) in coordination with your supervisors.
