What you will do


The Maintenance Manager is responsible for prioritizing, assigning, and coordinating maintenance work across distinct manufacturing operations, including selected lines operating 24/7. This role leads and develops the maintenance organization, manages budgets, ensures safety and quality standards, and drives projects to achieve business objectives and cost-effective asset performance. The role also evaluates vendors, enforces company policies, and monitors execution to deliver strong operational performance and continuous improvement in alignment with Confidencial (Apenas para Cadastrados) business objectives.

Key Responsibilities


  • Lead and coordinate maintenance operations across multiple manufacturing operations, ensuring equipment reliability, operational continuity, and effective response to unplanned events.
  • Prioritize and manage corrective, preventive, predictive, and emergency maintenance activities aligned with production and business priorities.
  • Establish, communicate, and execute maintenance plans covering scope, cost, schedule, resources, and risks.
  • Drive maintenance and reliability strategies that improve uptime, asset performance, and lifecycle cost.
  • Define, monitor, and manage maintenance KPIs, using data to support decision-making, performance reviews, and resource optimization.
  • Promote standardization of maintenance processes, procedures, and work practices across operations.
  • Directly lead maintenance supervisors and indirectly lead maintenance teams, developing leaders and fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, regulatory, and internal requirements, supporting audits and closure of action plans.
  • Manage the maintenance budget, implement cost controls, and identify optimization opportunities.
  • Evaluate and manage maintenance vendors and contractors, ensuring performance, safety, and compliance.
  • Lead or support cross-functional projects and change management initiatives related to maintenance, reliability, and operational excellence.
  • Ensure effective use of CMMS and strong discipline in work order execution, data quality, and asset information management.

Required Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong experience in industrial maintenance within manufacturing or asset-intensive environments.
  • Proven leadership experience with direct supervision of leaders and indirect leadership of large teams.
  • Experience managing KPIs, budgets, and maintenance performance indicators.
  • Solid knowledge of safety, quality, and compliance standards in industrial operations.
  • Experience with change management and process improvement.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex technical and business data.
  • Advanced or fluent English.
  • Availability to work 100 percent on-site.

Desired Qualifications


  • Experience supporting operations with extended schedules or partial 24/7 production.
  • Experience with CMMS systems, preferably IBM Maximo.
  • Exposure to preventive and predictive maintenance practices, reliability tools, and root cause analysis.
  • Proven expertise in leveraging IoT and AI-driven maintenance tools to transform traditional workflows.
  • Experience working in matrix organizations and participating in regional or global initiatives.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with a track record of inspiring teams to embrace innovative maintenance solutions.
  • Familiarity with regulatory, safety, and quality requirements related to maintenance operations.
