Compensation
Salary range: £55,000 to £80,000 per year (GBP) (depending on experience and seniority)

Role purpose
- The role is responsible for leading the commercial and contractual management of large-scale infrastructure projects, ensuring effective cost control, risk management, contractual performance, and maximisation of project profitability.
- The position also involves leading the commercial team and supporting strategic decision-making throughout the entire project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities
Commercial Management
- Lead the commercial strategy of the project
- Manage cost control and financial forecasting
- Monitor project budgets and cash flow
- Prepare and present monthly commercial reports
Contract Management
- Administer construction contracts and subcontract agreements
- Manage contractual variations and change orders
- Ensure contractual compliance across all project activities
Claims and Variations
- Manage contractual claims and dispute processes
- Handle Extension of Time (EOT) submissions
- Prepare commercial and contractual documentation
Risk Management
- Maintain and update risk and opportunity registers
- Identify commercial risks and mitigation strategies
- Support project teams in risk evaluation and mitigation
Subcontractor Management
- Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers
- Manage subcontractor packages and commercial performance
- Ensure alignment with project budget and programme
Leadership
- Lead and mentor the commercial team
- Support the development of Quantity Surveyors and Assistants
- Ensure high standards of commercial governance
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Civil Engineering or related field)
