Confidencial (Apenas para Cadastrados) invites strategic and analytical leaders to join our team in South America. We are looking for a Merchandising Manager who will drive strategic merchandising initiatives and operational excellence across the region, translating our global vision into regional execution to maximize business performance. This role acts as a key strategic partner to the Merchandising Director, leading the implementation of merchandising strategies, optimizing assortment and inventory, and fostering strong cross-functional collaboration. The Merchandising Manager will report directly to the Merchandising Director;

Job responsibilities

  • Monitor weekly product performance across categories, stores, and channels, analyzing sell-through, stock levels, and KPIs to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Propose clear and actionable plans to drive performance, partnering with the Merchandising Director on reviews and strategic adjustments.
  • Support buying sessions with detailed regional insights, performance analysis, and qualitative feedback.
  • Execute assortment strategy at store level, ensuring correct product mix and depth, and adapting global strategy to local needs.
  • Manage allocation, replenishment, and rebalancing across stores to ensure availability of key products and support commercial priorities.
  • Drive actions on slow movers and excess stock, minimizing markdown risk, and support implementation of pullbacks and stock flow initiatives.
  • Execute product launches in close coordination with cross-functional teams, tracking performance and proposing immediate optimizations.
  • Manage in-season trading actions (transfers, reorders, client requests) and support end-of-life strategies.
  • Orchestrate product & collection trainings and briefings, focusing on developing compelling product storytelling for store teams.
  • Work closely with Store Managers to drive product focus and performance actions, gathering qualitative feedback and translating into actionable insights.
  • Ensure strong in-store execution aligned with merchandising priorities.
  • Partner with Visual Merchandising, Digital, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams to ensure aligned execution of product initiatives and the commercial calendar.

Profile

  • Exceptional analytical skills and a highly data-driven mindset (non-negotiable).
  • 4 - 5+ years of progressive experience in luxury/fashion merchandising, with a proven track record of managing categories and driving performance.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable strategies and tangible results.
  • Superior stakeholder management and leadership skills, with a strong focus on retail partnership and collaborative problem-solving.
  • Proven ability to balance hands-on operational execution with strategic planning and oversight.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish/Portuguese (preferred, given South America focus).
