Join Confidencial (Apenas para Cadastrados) as a Motorman / Oiler on an offshore seismic/research vessel in Brazil. You will support safe and reliable vessel operations by assisting in the engine room and taking care of machinery and equipment under the guidance of the engineering team.
Key responsibilities
- Assist engineers with daily engine room operations and maintenance
- Carry out routine checks on machinery, pumps, filters and auxiliary equipment
- Perform oiling, greasing and cleaning of engine room equipment and spaces
- Monitor and report any abnormalities in machinery performance
- Follow all safety procedures and permit-to-work systems
- Support bunkering and other engine room operations as instructed
Requirements
- Valid Motorman / Oiler (MTM) license and STCW certificates
- Previous experience as Motorman / Oiler, preferably on offshore or research vessels
- Good knowledge of engine room routines and safe working practices
- Valid medical fitness certificate and seafarer documents
- Ability to work in a mixed crew and follow instructions clearly in English
