About the role: DNV is seeking a MOU (Mobile Offshore Unit) Surveyor to join our Rio de Janeiro office in the Area South America, as part of the Maritime Region Americas, consisting of a team of approximately 60 committed employees taking care of various technical services. These services are related to the following disciplines:FiS – Fleet in service, ships and offshore units in operationThere are five office locations in the Area: Rio de Janeiro, Santos, Macaé, Buenos Aires and Viña del Mar. Beside this, we have people working from a home office, to cover the geographical needs of our clients.We aim to be the front runner in innovation, digitalization and customer centricity. For various disciplines new regimes are continuously introduced. Recent examples are electronic certificates, remote inspections, 3D printing, sensor-based maintenance, alternative fuels and now heading towards autonomous shipping. Customer needs and footprint reduction are key elements in this.In order to support the offshore activities, we are looking for a Surveyor to join our Offshore Units in Operation team based in Rio de Janeiro. You will be member of a highly qualified team serving the maritime industry and various offshore unit types (such as FPSOs, Drill ships and Column Stabilized Units) calling in offshore locations in the South American coast.Main tasksPerform surveys to ensure compliance with Rules (Applicable International Conventions), Regulations, Instructions, Guidelines and quality requirements of the organization and the instructions of the line managementWork in offshore production/drilling/supporting units during operationWork on-site surveys during dry-docking and in serviceWork on major vessel conversions, alterations or any technical matters involving all type of vesselsMaintain the confidentiality of Clients' business, processes, designs, developments and documentation at all timesCommunicate to line management at the earliest appropriate opportunity if in receipt of information that is important to the reputation or integrity of the organizationExhibit customer oriented focus through promoting DNV onboard or on-site, and by acting as a technical resource for customer questionsManage a group of customers and interact with colleagues from all over the world to follow up on their needsBe the advisor of our customers to guide them in the regulatory landscape of maritime industry and support their developmentWhen applicable, to supervise the work of others and ensure that it is carried out as above and in an efficient and economic mannerSupport Key Account Managers (KAM) as Technical Support Manager (TSM)#LI-Hybrid
