Project Engineer (2-3 yrs exp)

Jenike & Johanson is hiring for a Project Engineer in our Vinhedo-SP office with 2-3 years of experience. You will work on multi-disciplinary projects in many industrial markets experiencing rapid change. You work on projects from inception of your technical concept through solution delivery to the client. You will work at times individually or as part of a team, to produce feasibility studies, conceptual designs as well as functional designs, evaluate client processes, and oversee bulk material laboratory and pilot scale tests. As your know-how and expertise in dry bulk materials develops, you will contribute to shaping and extending the services we provide both to the internal organization and our clients.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in projects from proposal preparation to the development of engineering solutions
• Provide technical guidance and support to the project team
• Collaborate with senior project engineers to develop engineering solutions
• Coordinate laboratory and pilot scale testing with powders and bulk solids
• Support research solution approaches involving equipment configuration or process modifications
• Perform basic calculations for flow, transport, as well as analyses using propriety modeling technologies

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or industrial engineering or equivalent. Master’s and/or PhD will be a plus
• 2-3 years of relevant experience
• Strong fundamentals in fluid mechanics, geomechanics & computational modeling
• Basic AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks experience
• Fluent in both Portuguese and English (both written and verbal)
• Excellent problem-solving, written and verbal communication
• Ability to travel on periodic basis in Brazil and internationally
• Must have valid driver’s license and passport, or ability to obtain one by employment
