Jenike & Johanson is hiring for a Project Engineer in our Vinhedo-SP office with 5-7 years of experience. The Project Engineer will be part of our engineering team to consult with clients to provide engineering solutions to bulk solids handling and processing problems. You will work on multi-disciplinary projects in many industrial markets experiencing rapid change. You work on projects from inception of your technical concept through solution delivery to the client. You will work at times individually or as part of a team, to produce feasibility studies, conceptual designs as well as functional designs, evaluate client processes, and oversee bulk material laboratory and pilot scale tests.
Responsibilities:
- Lead proposal preparation to the development of engineering solutions
- Develop engineering solutions for client technical challenges
- Coordinate laboratory and pilot scale testing with powders and bulk solids
- Research solution approaches involving equipment configuration or process modifications to resolve technical problems
- Perform basic calculations for flow, transport, as well as analyses using propriety modeling technologies
- Present solutions to colleagues and other client operations and business staff by communicating the technical, safety and financial implications.
- Balance multiple projects and to deliver high quality technical results in a practical manner is required.
- Monitor project costs to ensure projects stay on budget and on track
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or industrial engineering or equivalent. Master’s and/or PhD will be a plus
- 5-7 years of relevant experience
- Strong fundamentals in fluid mechanics, geomechanics & computational modeling
- Basic AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks experience
- Fluent in both Portuguese and English (both written and verbal)
- Excellent problem-solving, written and verbal communication
- Ability to travel on periodic basis in Brazil and internationally
- Must have valid driver’s license and passport, or ability to obtain one by employment
