The Project Engineer Integrity will support offshore projects and life‑extension activities by providing practical marine and structural engineering input. The role focuses on project execution, offshore readiness, integrity assessments, inspections, repairs, and MOC support, ensuring safe and compliant implementation of structural and marine modifications.

Responsabilities:

  • Participate in concept selection, FEED, detailed design and execution of offshore brownfield and life‑extension projects.
  • Provide marine and structural engineering input for FPSOs and other offshore structures.
  • Translate engineering deliverables into offshore execution scopes, including workpacks, methodologies, inspection strategies, and lifting/installation philosophies.
  • Interface with class societies, marine warranty surveyors, and inspection vendors on structural and marine matters.
  • Review, approve or coordinate structural analysis reports, integrity assessments, repair plans, reinforcement strategies and life‑extension studies.
  • Support offshore campaigns involving inspections, repairs, modifications, installations or remediation works.
  • Work closely with marine, construction, operations, and HSE teams to ensure offshore readiness and safe execution.
  • Provide engineering support for structural integrity, reassessment, and life‑extension of offshore assets.
  • Support Management of Change (MOC) processes related to structural and marine modifications.
  • Review inspection findings and define required repair, reinforcement or mitigation actions.
  • Support troubleshooting during offshore anomalies, impacts,or structural damage events.
  • Capture lessons learned from offshore activities and incorporate them into project practices and design standards.


Requirements


Education:

  • BSc or MSc in Civil, Structural, Offshore, or Marine Engineering.
  • Advanced degrees in Offshore Structures or Systems are considered a strong advantage.
  • Extensive relevant experience may compensate for formal education.

Experience:

  • Experience in oil & gas, ideally with offshore brownfield or FPSO background.
  • Proven experience with:

FPSOs, semisubmersibles or topside structures

Structural integrity and reassessment

Life-extension and RBI activities

Offshore inspections and repair campaigns

  • Experience working with class societies and offshore regulatory frameworks.
  • Strong exposure to project execution and offshore operations, not only design.

Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of:

Offshore steel structures

Structural integrity, fatigue, buckling, and yielding

Marine and structural interfaces

  • Familiarity with international standards and practices (e.g. ABS, API, ISO, DNV).
  • Experience with structural analysis and FEM tools (e.g. FEMAP/NX, ANSYS, ABAQUS).
  • Solid understanding of offshore inspection methodologies and repair techniques (including composite repairs).
