Safety Engineer Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive health and safety audits across the organization.
- Lead and support project audits, ensuring timely completion of action items and effective follow-up with cross-functional teams.
- Perform risk assessments and develop corresponding mitigation and action plans.
- Design, implement, and manage the Risk Control Program (PGR).
- Coordinate the annual safety committee election process, including communication planning, voting logistics, training, and documentation.
- Assist the EHS team in planning and executing the annual Safety Week.
- Prepare incident reports and lead investigations to identify root causes and preventive measures.
- Respond to EHS-related tickets and inquiries in a timely and effective manner.
- Review and approve event submissions; advise event organizers on required safety documentation and provide tailored EHS guidance.
- Conduct ergonomic assessments and provide recommendations to ensure workplace comfort and safety.
- Offer technical EHS support and guidance for new office setups, including inspections and compliance with local regulations.
- Support team members and complete tasks as assigned to further improve the EHS culture and performance.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in EHS.
- Must have a post-grad in Safety Engineering, and an active CREA.
- Knowledgeable in the environment, health, safety, or a related field. Excellent working knowledge of local, regional, and national compliance and regulatory requirements.
- Strong communication skills and ability to influence key stakeholders and build relationships.
- Ability to travel at least 25% of the time to support across the AMS region
- Strong command of the English language
- Able to work independently and drive results.
- Strong computer-based skills, able to produce reports and working documents to an exceptional standard.
- Strives for continuous improvement.
- Flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business.
