Main Responsibilities
- Work closely with the customers, understanding & supporting the decision makers’ needs and be their main contact in WSS Customer Service
- Advise and support customers on what, why, when and where to buy through good commercial guidance
- Keep customers informed of changes in the order delivery status, surcharges and any other relevant information
- Ensure timely and accurate order management, keeping customers updated and proactively managing potential issues
- Proactively identify, plan and follow up open quotes to turn this into orders
- Utilize Tools and knowledge about the customer, to leverage on Insights leading to adding Value to the Customer and increasing our Sales Growth
- Through quote follow up and or other type of contacts with customer proactively capture Leads in close cooperation with Sales
- Actively promote selected sales campaigns, promotions and initiatives to customers
- Process certain high value and pre-defined enquiries and orders from customers as per global processes and targets
- Be an active member of the Sales team for the respective account portfolio
- Support Sales when preparing Business Review, bring operational insight both internal as well as external. When appropriate, join Sales when do Business Revises to explain the insight direct to customers
- Ensure appropriate problem solving and wide collaboration with other functions/stakeholders to fulfil customer needs in the most efficient way
- Customer visits in close collaboration with Sales (KAMs, TSMs and TS&BDMs)
- Capture customer specific information and requirements in the system and work proactively with customers to help them standardize their requests (Star List information)
Qualifications
- Relevant education and/-or relevant work experience
- Fluent in English – both in writing and speaking
- Interest/experience in the shipping industry and marine products
- Customer focused with the ability to understand and react/adapt to their needs, and with the ability to turn opportunities into sales growth.
- Excellent interacting, networking and communicating skills: Establishes good relationships with customers and colleagues
- Solid commercial understanding and sales skills, with a professional and proactive attitude
- Growth mindset – Having a “Can Do” attitude, looking for solutions to challenges.
- Quickly adapts to changing circumstances, accepts new ideas and change initiatives
- Is always curious and enthusiastic to learn and develop and able to put learning into practice.
