This role is the commercial growth track for NDT Global’s/ Confidencial (Apenas para Cadastrados) ILI and Subsea & Robotics business in South America. Reporting directly to the Country Manager and working alongside experienced Regional Sales Managers, the Sales Development Associate is responsible for identifying and developing new opportunities, managing the sales pipeline, and progressively building direct client relationships. The role carries regional revenue contribution targets and is based in the Rio de Janeiro office. It is designed as a structured pathway toward full sales ownership.
Role and Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop a qualified opportunity pipeline, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in the CRM (Salesforce or equivalent).
  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities across the ILI and subsea inspection market in South America.
  • Lead and coordinate the preparation of technical-commercial proposals and bid responses, ensuring alignment with client requirements and NDT Global standards.
  • Build and maintain direct relationships with existing and prospective clients, progressively taking ownership of key accounts.
  • Work alongside Regional Sales Managers to support deal progression, client engagement strategies, and market development initiatives.
  • Monitor market trends, track competitor activity, and contribute market intelligence to refine regional sales strategies.
  • Represent NDT Global at industry events, conferences, and client meetings, participating actively in commercial and technical discussions.
  • Develop a solid working knowledge of ILI, subsea, and robotics inspection technologies, applications, and value propositions.
  • Support the Country Manager with forecasting, pipeline reporting, and commercial planning activities.
  • Contribute to broader commercial initiatives as the role evolves and sales ownership expands.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, production engineering, business administration, or related fields. A postgraduate degree in business management or asset integrity is a plus. Equivalent commercial experience of 3+ years will also be considered.
  • Commercial experience: Previous exposure to proposal development, bid management, or B2B sales processes is strongly desirable.
  • CRM proficiency: Experience with Salesforce, HubSpot, or equivalent CRM platforms is an advantage.
  • Software: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Languages: Fluent Portuguese (native level), advanced English required. Spanish is a strong plus for broader regional coverage.
  • Industry knowledge: Familiarity with oil & gas, pipeline integrity, or subsea inspection markets is highly desirable but not mandatory.
