Job Description

NETZSCH G&D are seeking a hands-on Senior Salesforce Developer with an architecture mindset to evolve our global Customer Portal built on Salesforce B2B Commerce and Experience Cloud (LWR). You will implement features across the end-to-end journey (user management, catalog, RFQ, checkout, service and analytics), strengthen security and performance, and ensure reliable integrations with SAP and other enterprise systems.

A key part of this role is to implement and sustain the improvement roadmap derived from platform architecture, security, and performance reviews, converting recommendations into deliverable backlog items and production-ready changes.

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translate architecture and technical review findings into actionable epics and stories (scope, dependencies, risks) and execute the technical roadmap.

  • Continuously refine the technical roadmap through improvements, spikes/PoCs, and prioritization based on risk, value, and delivery constraints.

  • Design and implement Experience Cloud (LWR) solutions using LWC, applying secure and scalable patterns for external users.

  • Build and maintain Apex services (including async patterns) and reusable domain logic supporting B2B Commerce and portal capabilities.

  • Own end-to-end SAP integrations: outbound SFSAP via Apex callouts and inbound SAPSF via documented REST API contracts (payloads, auth, usage).

  • Implement and support secure authentication and access patterns for portal users (SSO/OIDC, MFA where applicable) and improve the user/role/permission model (profiles, permission sets, sharing).

  • Implement and extend B2B Commerce and order management capabilities (catalog, pricing/promotions, cart/checkout, order/shipping tracking), including shipping and pricing/tax data configuration and regional validations (rates, zones, rules).

  • Contribute to the evaluation and implementation of AI-enabled capabilities (e.g., intelligent search, self-service assistance) and B2B procurement integrations (PunchOut via cXML/OCI for SAP Ariba/Coupa).

  • Improve code quality and maintainability through refactoring, component consolidation, reuse and documentation.

  • Establish and evolve CI/CD and release practices, including deployment playbooks and environment strategy for Experience Builder and metadata.

  • Create and maintain automated tests for Apex and integrations and collaborate with QA to expand API test automation coverage.

  • Monitor, troubleshoot and resolve production issues, improving observability (logs, correlation IDs, error handling) for integrations and critical flows.

  • Collaborate with product and business stakeholders to clarify requirements, propose technical options and estimate implementation effort.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on Salesforce development experience.

  • Strong experience with Apex (integration patterns, async processing, testing) and Lightning Web Components (LWC).

  • Hands-on Experience Cloud delivery, including LWR experience for customer or partner portals.

  • Experience with Salesforce B2B Commerce (catalog, pricing, cart and checkout), including extension patterns.

  • Proven experience with integrations (REST/SOAP), ideally with SAP or similar ERPs and middleware.

  • Hands-on experience implementing or supporting SSO/OIDC and identity related configurations for Experience Cloud.

  • Architecture mindset: ability to design, document and execute end-to-end solutions with clear trade-offs.

  • Good understanding of Salesforce security model (CRUD/FLS, sharing, external user access).

  • Quality-first development practices: code reviews, automated testing, and maintainable design.

  • Comfort working in Agile delivery environments and tooling such as Jira and Confluence.
