About the job

We are looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer with a strong foundation in cloud platforms and infrastructure automation, paired with solid software development experience. In this role, you will take the lead in implementing, and evolving our DevOps toolchains and practices across AWS and Azure. Your focus will be on enabling highly automated, secure, and scalable cloud environments through Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, GitOps, and modern DevOps tooling.

Responsibilities and assignments

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud solutions on AWS and Azure.
• Lead infrastructure automation initiatives and DevOps practices.
• Support development teams with a focus on automation, quality, and best practices.
• Develop cloud applications using serverless architectures, Kubernetes, and event-driven patterns.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitOps methodologies.
• Apply security best practices for authentication and authorization in cloud environments.
• Monitor and optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Ensure adherence to software architecture, testing, and security best practices.
• Drive continuous improvement through technical reviews, knowledge sharing, and mentoring.

Requirements and qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

Ability to communicate in English fluently to engage with local stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related fields.
• Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar role, with strong expertise in AWS and/or Azure, as well as solid experience in DevOps, infrastructure automation, and software development.
• Knowledge of modern cloud architectures, including serverless, Kubernetes, microservices, and event-driven patterns.
• Experience with CI/CD, GitOps, GitFlow, and tools such as Flux, ArgoCD, and GitHub for version control, automation, and release management.
• Proficiency in at least two programming languages, such as Python, GoLang, TypeScript, or JavaScript.
• Experience with software architecture, distributed systems, scalability, concurrency, cloud networking, and NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB.
• Strong understanding of software engineering best practices, including SDLC, DRY, KISS, SOLID principles, quality gates, code reviews, and pair programming.
• Experience with cloud security, authentication, and authorization frameworks and protocols such as JWT, SAML, OIDC, RBAC, and ABAC.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes operations and development, including CRDs, operators, and controllers, as well as building serverless applications.
• Analytical and collaborative profile, with strong communication skills, technical decision-making abilities, and experience working in agile and cross-functional environments.

Nice to Have:

• Deep knowledge of AWS services and basic understanding of Azure.
• Experience in developing and managing cloud infrastructures using Crossplane.io.
• Knowledge equivalent to AWS Certified DevOps Engineer certification.
