Summary
This role is responsible for leading the Brazil Engineering team in the design and development of Systems and product solutions for Confidencial (Apenas para Cadastrados) product lines, including activities linked to new product development in partnership with global teams across the Confidencial (Apenas para Cadastrados) organization. Of particular emphasis would be to ensure close relationship with customers and cross functional team to report on progress of projects and to ensure that the risks and opportunities are effectively managed and communicated.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead the execution of design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements.
- In coordination with the business product line, develop and execute program plans including budget, schedule, and required resources while being accountable for on time delivery and budget constraints.
- Own technical leadership for complex systems and sub-systems with focus on quality, interface management, NPIs and key efforts for future generation products
- In partnership with the Chief Engineering Office, lead and organize the talent development of the organization, including skillset development and cross training to develop an engineering team capable of covering a broad range of products.
- Develop, lead, and champion productivity initiatives aimed at reducing engineering cost, effort, and cycle time.
- Collaborate across product teams and functions to provide clear organizational direction and alignment.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Industrial, software or electrical engineering from an accredited university or college with a minimum of 15 years engineering experience within the Oil & Gas industry.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience as an engineering manager within the Oil & Gas industry.
Strong oral and written communication skills in Portuguese and English

- Prior oilfield experience in drilling or subsea systems
- Prior experience developing and introducing new systems of products
- Clear thinking with the ability to develop, communicate, and deliver clear strategy and action plans.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including strong presentation skills
- Strong interpersonal, leadership, and influencing skills
- Ability to sort through complex technical information and make timely and sound decisions.
- Strong project management skills, including developing and maintaining project schedules, developing and tracking budgets, and developing risk mitigation strategies.
