Confidencial (Apenas para Cadastrados) has established a Local Confidencial (Apenas para Cadastrados) Subsidiary in Brazil to work together with Confidencial (Apenas para Cadastrados) Zurich to deliver the biggest women’s sporting event in the world, the Confidencial (Apenas para Cadastrados) Women’s World Cup 2027™ (“FWWC2027”) that for the first time ever, is hosted in South America in Brazil. THE POSITION

Under the responsibility of the Confidencial (Apenas para Cadastrados)27 Head of Finance and in collaboration with the Confidencial (Apenas para Cadastrados) Finance division in Zurich, the Senior Event Controller will drive in Brazil the budget and forecast process throughout the Confidencial (Apenas para Cadastrados) Women’s World Cup 2027™ project lifecycle providing finance business partnering and support to the various budget owners and to Confidencial (Apenas para Cadastrados)27 senior management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist with the preparation of the Confidencial (Apenas para Cadastrados) Women’s World Cup 2027™budget, for the period 2025-2027, which captures all the operational costs to ensure the successful delivery of the tournament.
  • Assist with the implementation of the Confidencial (Apenas para Cadastrados) budgeting and reporting tools and organize hands-on training with the budget owners in Brazil.
  • Prepare cash flow forecast requirements in connection with the Brazilian operational budget.
  • Lead in Brazil the financial planning and budget review processes working closely with the Confidencial (Apenas para Cadastrados) Senior Event Controller (based in Zurich) and with all budget owners (Zurich and Brazil based).
  • Work closely with the Confidencial (Apenas para Cadastrados) Senior Event Controller, to implement Confidencial (Apenas para Cadastrados) Finance processes in Brazil and to support a smooth consolidation of the full tournament operational budgets.
  • Present the outcome of the quarterly forecast exercise as well as recommended corrective actions (when necessary) to the various stakeholders.
  • Coordinate the accrual process at year-end supporting the Confidencial (Apenas para Cadastrados) Zurich and Confidencial (Apenas para Cadastrados)27 Accounting teams and the various budget owners.
  • Review monthly cost allocations to various project codes and prepare re-allocation journals when required.
  • Prepare monthly management reports providing insightful commentary for budget owners and senior management.
  • Monitor and maintain monthly cash flow forecasts, reflecting the Brazilian operational budget, to ensure the liquidity needs of Confidencial (Apenas para Cadastrados)27 are met.
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis and prepare additional financial reports as requested by the Head of Finance and senior management.

YOUR PROFILE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting and Financial Planning & Analysis.
  • Experience in an event organization in a financial role (organizing major sport events or other similar projects).
  • Advanced knowledge and experience with budgeting and reporting tools.
  • Experience in preparing financial statements, preferably in a multi-entity environment.
  • Experience in an international environment.
  • Experience in procurement of advantage.
  • SAP experience preferred.
  • Well-developed organisational skills with an ability to prioritize your workload and meet strict deadlines.
  • Business fluent in English, any other language is an asset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to facilitate business partnering.
  • Have a proactive hands-on approach to problem solving - a 'can do' attitude.
  • Strong attention to detail and a focus on quality and accuracy.
  • Well-versed in Microsoft Office Excel, Word & Powerpoint presentation.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment.
  • Right to work in Brazil.
  • Ability to re-locate to Rio de Janeiro.
