About the role
We are looking for a Senior SDET to own test automation across a live cloud platform built to put life insurance online. You’ll set quality standards alongside engineering leads and product managers, and push the team toward automation-first, shift-left practices. The stack includes JavaScript, Python, Java, Playwright, Grafana K6, and AWS. It’s a fully remote role at a growing company where QA has a real seat at the table.
What you will do
- Maintain and extend existing test automation frameworks and evaluate new frameworks;
- Promote a quality-first mindset including automation-first and shift-left testing practices;
- Define and implement performance and scalability testing strategies;
- Monitor and improve CI/CD pipelines;
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define quality standards aligned with business needs.
Must haves
- 5+ years of experience in delivering high-quality products and automation testing;
- Experience with automation testing using JavaScript, Java, or Python;
- Strong understanding of QA lifecycle and testing methodologies;
- Experience building automation frameworks and API tests;
- Experience with CI/CD and build pipelines;
- Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, Swagger or similar frameworks;
- Experience with Git and source code repositories;
- Experience with CI tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions);
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS;
- Experience with performance testing tools (Grafana K6);
- Strong communication and collaboration skills;
- Upper-intermediate English level.
Nice to haves
- Experience with Playwright;
- Experience with TypeScript or JavaScript.
