Location and Flexibility
This is a hybrid role. This model requires the ability to work in a hybrid mode from one of our offices in São Paulo (2 times/ week or 8 days/ month) or Porto Alegre (3 times/ week or 12 days/ month). Our WFN culture is designed to foster in-person innovation, collaboration, and connection with team members local and visiting from other global offices.
The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Senior iOS engineer who is passionate about solving complex problems and creating innovative solutions using Swift. As a Senior iOS Engineer, you will be responsible for owning the delivery of major features and components, building and shipping durable, secure, scalable, and always up and running code. You should be driven by curiosity, enthusiastic about learning new technologies, and be comfortable using IDEs, version control, and command line tools.
Responsibilities
Own the delivery of major features and components end-to-end
Build and ship durable, secure, scalable, and highly reliable code
Architect robust networking and data modeling layers
Design and evolve scalable application architectures (e.g., MVVM, Clean Architecture, modularization)
Apply strong understanding of Swift data modeling (protocols, enums, structs, classes)
Leverage Swift Concurrency (async/await, structured concurrency, actors) to build safe and performant solutions
Improve existing codebases to increase maintainability, testability, and long-term sustainability
Write and maintain automated tests
Identify technical risks early and propose pragmatic, solution-oriented approaches
Ensure adherence to Swift coding conventions and established iOS design patterns
Balance business goals with technical constraints, taking a big-picture perspective
Mentor other developers and elevate engineering standards across the team
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile environment
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, release processes, and deployment automation
Stay up to date with the latest Apple technologies, frameworks, and platform best practices
Qualifications5+ years of professional iOS development experience
Strong proficiency in Swift
Experience building production applications using SwiftUI
Strong understanding of iOS architecture patterns and application lifecycle
Experience designing scalable networking layers and API integrations
Experience integrating third-party services and SDKs (e.g., Firebase, analytics, push notifications)
Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, CircleCI, Fastlane)
Solid understanding of code signing and Apple distribution processes
Experience working with automated testing frameworks (XCTest, Swift Testing, UI Testing)
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders
Understanding of accessibility and inclusive UI implementation best practices
Nice to HaveExperience developing for additional Apple platforms (watchOS, tvOS, CarPlay)
Experience with Apple services such as iCloud, Universal Links, Push Notifications, and Keychain
Experience improving app performance (instrumentation, profiling, memory management)
Public code samples or GitHub profile to share
