SQL Server Database Administrator

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled SQL Server Database Administrator to manage a large scale and distributed SQL Server environment.

In this role, you will focus on database reliability, replication, and performance optimization, supporting a high volume of database instances.

The environment involves complex replication and data consistency challenges, requiring strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

You will work closely with internal teams to support business critical systems and ensure stable database operations.

Key Responsibilities Database Administration & Support

• Manage and maintain a large number of SQL Server instances
• Perform database installation, configuration, and upgrades
• Ensure availability, security, and reliability of databases
• Monitor system performance and health

Replication & Data Management

• Design and maintain SQL Server replication solutions
• Troubleshoot replication issues in complex environments
• Ensure data consistency across distributed systems
• Support data synchronization strategies

Performance Tuning & Optimization

• Analyze and optimize SQL queries and execution plans
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks
• Collaborate with development teams to improve database usage
• Maintain performance across large scale environments

Incident Management & Operations

• Participate in on call rotation
• Troubleshoot production issues and ensure system stability
• Support day to day database operations
• Participate in support rotations when required

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

• Work closely with SQL Server team leads and engineers
• Collaborate with cross functional teams
• Contribute to improving processes and best practices

Required Qualifications

• Strong experience as a SQL Server DBA (8 - 12 years of experience)
• Hands on experience with SQL Server replication
• Experience managing large scale environments
• Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills
• Ability to work in complex environments
• Advanced English
