Role Purpose:
- Ensure accurate accounting and tax compliance for local and group reporting.
- Provide expertise in Brazilian tax regulations and IFRS standards.
- Support continuous improvement of accounting and tax processes.
- Contribute to improvement on internal controls and general processes
Contributions:
§ Responsible for preparing and reviewing statutory and tax reports.
§ Contributes to monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes.
§ Influences compliance and internal controls related to tax and accounting.
§ Decides on correct application of tax rules in transactions.
§ Supports audits and liaises with external auditors and tax authorities.
§ Ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders in a multicultural environment
§ Ensures that company values, ethical principles and compliance rules as set out in the Borealis Ethics Policy are integrated in all employment related activities.
Deliverables:
§ Accurate monthly and annual financial statements.
§ Timely submission of tax returns and related obligations.
§ Compliance with local GAAP, IFRS, and corporate policies.
§ Documentation for audits and inspections.
§ Reports for management decision-making.
§ Continuous improvement proposals for accounting and tax processes.
§ Support and control tax reform project
§ SAP Key User for DRC and Accounting
Requirements:
§ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
§ Knowledge of Brazilian tax legislation.
§ Previous experience in the role.
§ Good command of English language.
§ Familiarity with IFRS and local GAAP.
§ SAP S/4 solid knowledge
§ Advanced knowledge of SAP S/4
§ Proficiency in MS Excel and reporting tools.
§ Ability to manage deadlines and priorities.
§ Knowledge of internal controls and compliance standards.
§ Knowledge of costing processes
§ Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build effective relationships across teams.
