Sr Software Engineer, Android

The Tech Center in Brazil is expanding, and our engineering teams are looking for talented Senior Software Engineers to join and contribute to our mobile projects. You will work with global teams by leading efforts to design, develop, and maintain complex user interfaces and features for mobile applications (Android).

• Delivery:

This team is focused on innovating and streamlining how products and services reach our customers. In this role, you'll contribute to building efficient and robust systems that support order processing, logistics, and real-time tracking. Your contributions will help optimize the end-to-end delivery experience, making it more reliable and seamless for both drivers and customers.

• Mobility:

This is a team dedicated to reimagining transportation solutions for a dynamic world. We are crafting and building the most highly trafficked experiences in the Rider App, including the homescreen, messaging, and core trip flow. As we scale the number of ways riders can use Confidencial (Apenas para Cadastrados), we're partnering with Confidencial (Apenas para Cadastrados)AI to build Confidencial (Apenas para Cadastrados)'s first personalized surfaces that understand what riders want in real time.

Our platform consists of a flexible, backend driven UI, that enables teams across Confidencial (Apenas para Cadastrados) to reach Confidencial (Apenas para Cadastrados) customers in the right context. We work closely with every team that builds in the Rider App including Transit, Micromobility, and Confidencial (Apenas para Cadastrados)Eats to help them scale faster and reach more riders.

• Core Services

Core Services team develops and manages everything that powers all Confidencial (Apenas para Cadastrados) apps. Operating across 70+ countries and processing millions of transactions per second, the team works to meet the evolving needs of Confidencial (Apenas para Cadastrados)'s current and future business. As a critical part of the customer journey, we build engaging products by solving deep technical challenges, in problem domains that are specific to Confidencial (Apenas para Cadastrados)'s business.

Minimum qualifications:

• PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field OR 6-years full-time Software Engineering work experience, WHICH INCLUDES 5-years total technical software engineering experience in one or more of the following areas:
• Android development
• Android java, or Android Kotlin
• Note the 6-years total of specialized software engineering experience may have been gained through education and full-time work experience, additional training, coursework, research, or similar (OR some combination of these). The years of specialized experience are not necessarily in addition to the years of Education & full-time work experience indicated.
• Algorithm & Data Structures fundamentals is expected for this position, including hash tables, trees, stacks, queues, linked list, DFS, BFS.
• Advanced English language skills are also important since this team will be working with other engineers and stakeholders from different regions around the world
