Now Hiring: Senior Workday Application Engineer (Remote | Contractor | USD) – Job2030

We are looking for a Senior Workday Application Engineer to join a fast-growing insurtech company and play a key role in building the foundational systems that power Finance.

This is a fully remote contractor position (USD payment) requiring English level C1 or higher.

If you’re passionate about solving complex finance data challenges, building robust Workday integrations, and working at the intersection of Finance and Technology in a high-growth environment — this opportunity is for you.

About the Role

As a Senior Workday Application Engineer, you will own Workday integrations, reporting, and end-to-end delivery for insurance-specific finance processes. You’ll collaborate closely with Finance, Actuarial, Operations, and Technology teams to deliver production-ready solutions that support rapid company growth.

This is an opportunity to shape integration standards, resolve complex insurance finance data issues, and make a measurable impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and build Workday ERP integrations for claims management, billing, cash, actuarial systems, and reinsurance.

  • Gather, document, and validate business and functional requirements for Workday finance modules.

  • Configure and support integrations using EIB, Core Connectors, Studio, and Workday APIs.

  • Define data mappings, transformation rules, validation logic, and reconciliation processes for insurance finance flows.

  • Identify and resolve data quality and interface issues across premiums, claims, reserves, billing, commissions, cash application, and reinsurance accounting.

  • Build and maintain Workday reports (Advanced, Matrix, Composite, Worksheets) focused on insurance finance metrics.

  • Produce clear documentation (process flows, functional specs, user guides).

  • Lead testing, UAT, deployment, and provide post-go-live support.

  • Drive user adoption and change management across Finance teams.

  • Act as a hands-on bridge between Finance, Technology, Actuarial, and external vendors.

Requirements

  • Senior-level experience delivering Workday reports and integrations end-to-end.

  • Strong hands-on experience with EIB, Core Connectors, Studio, and Workday APIs.

  • Proven ability to build Advanced, Matrix, Composite, and Worksheet reports, including calculated fields and reporting logic.

  • Practical understanding of insurance finance processes (premiums, claims, reserves, billing, commissions, reinsurance, GL entries) or strong ability to learn quickly.

  • Experience gathering and validating business and functional requirements for ERP/finance systems.

  • Demonstrated ownership of full lifecycle delivery (configuration, testing, UAT, deployment, post-go-live).

  • Strong communication skills — able to explain technical and finance concepts to executive stakeholders.

  • Self-directed, pragmatic, and delivery-focused mindset.

  • English level C1 or higher (required).

Nice to Have

  • Experience scaling finance systems in a growth-stage company.

  • Exposure to Workday Prism Analytics or Adaptive Planning.

  • Experience with insurance-specific processes (bordereaux, receivables, claims interfaces).

What We Offer

  • 100% Remote

  • Contractor position

  • Payment in USD

  • High-impact role in a scaling insurtech

  • Opportunity to shape systems and processes from the ground up

If you’re ready to build, optimize, and scale Workday finance systems in a fast-moving environment, we’d love to hear from you.
