Primary Purpose of the Position: To support individual students with their learning and development throughout the day and to promote a safe and engaging experience in the classroom. Main Duties and Responsibilities: Working with the classroom teacher to support all children in the class. Assisting with lesson preparation and classroom set-up. Reviewing lesson material with students individually or in small groups when needed. Ensuring a safe and clean classroom environment. Supervising students during non-classroom times, including in between classes, during lunch, during recess, and on field trips. Collaborating with classroom teachers to recognize student challenges and recommending solutions. Complying with school and class rules. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal. Great organization and planning skills. The ability to collaborate and work in a team. The ability to engage students of all learning and grade levels. In-depth knowledge of relevant class material. Knowledge of best pedagogical practices. Personal Attributes: Patience. Empathy.
