Job Summary:

The Supply Chain & Logistics Manager will represent the company in Houston, acting as a strategic link between operations in Brazil and key suppliers and logistics agents in the United States. This professional will play a crucial role in developing new suppliers, managing relationships with local partners, and optimizing the import processes for critical materials used in drilling operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and qualify new suppliers in the U.S., focusing on quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Establish and maintain strategic relationships with major local manufacturers and suppliers.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with freight forwarders, monitoring shipments, deadlines, and resolving any logistical issues.
  • Work closely with the Procurement and Logistics teams in Brazil to align strategies and priorities.
  • Monitor market trends and identify opportunities to improve the supply chain.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, import/export regulations, and legal requirements.
  • Participate in commercial negotiations and contracts with U.S.-based suppliers.
  • Support sustainability and efficiency initiatives within the supply chain.
  • Conduct regular visits to manufacturers, logistics centers, and industry trade shows.

Requisitos e qualificações

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Supply Chain within offshore drilling companies. Candidates with equivalent technical experience in offshore drilling companies will also be considered.
  • Fluency in English and Portuguese (spoken and written).
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.
  • Strong knowledge of import processes, international logistics, and supplier development.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Availability for frequent international travel.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Engineering, International Trade, or related fields. A postgraduate degree will be considered an asset.
