  • Experience managing complex programs in a compliance or regulatory environment.
  • Ability to earn the trust of engineering teams and to exert consequential technical influence over the management of risk, schedule, and scope.

You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

Core's User Protection practice focuses on solutions to meet Confidencial (Apenas para Cadastrados)'s evolving user safety needs. One of our most critical and sensitive missions is Egregrious Harms Protections (EHP) - safeguarding children and adults from the most injurious forms of abuse. EHP builds resilient, cross-product solutions that address these harms across multiple accounts and ensure protection continuity in an AI-driven threat landscape. The team maintains comprehensive state on current and emerging threats, creates tailored and AI-sustainable protections, drives regulatory compliance in an industry-leading role, and partners with organizations and agencies to combat harms in both the online and physical worlds.

As a Technical Program Manager, you will be responsible for managing, guiding, and developing a program portfolio of software development, threat reduction, and regulatory compliance work. You will partner with functional leaders in engineering and product management to ensure that these activities are aligned with a coherent strategy and the agenda to deliver it. You will hold direct planning and execution responsibility for specific programs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead high-stakes programs with a clear perspective on methodology, focusing on end-to-end accountability and operational resilience.
  • Prioritize program goals, understand and translate other stakeholders’ needs into program goals and prioritized deliverables with minimal assistance, and contribute to decisions on prioritizing goals and deliverables.
  • Use your technical depth to earn the respect of engineering teams and exert real influence over scope, schedule, and risk management.
  • Navigate complex incentives and demand stakeholders to build consensus and hit difficult shared goals in dynamic environments. Communicate with authority and candor, translating technical trade-offs into clear narratives for leadership and different audiences.
  • Identify, communicate, and collaborate with relevant stakeholders within one or more teams to drive impact and work toward mutual goals. Build, maintain and enhance business, operational, and management dashboards.
